Reliable sources are reporting he wasn't seen in local. Now I, too, am convinced he is indeed exploiting.

As the poster before me said, it's pretty easy to see which users/corps are macro ratting (usually people notice someone that is in local 23/7, and start to talk about it) and you can kick offending corps. IIRC PL had a very strict policy about this (corps had to kick macros, otherwise they'd get removed from renter list).
Therefore, the whole "as long as they pay, the sov holder doesn't care" thing doesn't really hold water. Also, "removing links to macros" and other such silly measures don't really work, when people can still speak openly about them without getting warned/banned.
Frankly, I couldn't care less about macros (apart from the fact that it's impossible for me to catch them, since I'm a peon and can't access the sphere), but they ARE exploiting. Why aren't the Russians hunting them down. Use some of that zeal you've shown when hunting down this no-local exploit and hunt down some macros too. Or, at least, kick them from your renter corps. Maybe, just maybe, then people in this thread will take your arguments a bit more seriously.
Until then, I think you should be happy huhuhuhuh and your other friends didn't get banned for tampering with client (the eula doesn't say anything about tampering sisi client being ok..)
